Passionate about supporting children and families through compassionate, developmentally informed care that promotes growth and well-being.

My path to child advocacy
Hi, my name is Alexis, and I am a Human Development and Family Science student at the University of Nevada, Reno. I am passionate about supporting children and families, especially in environments where children may be experiencing stress, trauma, or major life changes.
Through my experience working in early childhood classrooms and community programs, I have developed strong skills in building relationships, supporting social-emotional development, and creating safe and supportive environments for children.

Passionate about child well-being
My core passions lie in trauma-informed practice and child life intervention. I believe in creating environments that support children's emotional and psychological well-being, especially those who have experienced adversity. My work and studies are deeply committed to understanding and implementing strategies that promote healing and resilience in young lives.

Employers:
"Alexis is incredibly dedicated and brings a compassionate approach to everything she does, especially with children. She is a joy to have in my classroom and I can't wait to watch her grow."
